The right time to buy a home is when you are ready and makes great financial sense. Owning a home is a long term investment. Unless you are planning to live under a bridge forever here is my tips for when you should buy a home:

1. When you have a job.

2. When you need to live under a roof.

3. When the housing market is depressed.

4. When interest rates are low.

5. When you are tired of making someones else's mortgage payment.

Is there any prefect time to buy a home? No - but putting it off until everything is perfect is not a good strategy. Putting anything off is not a good strategy. Focus on today to build your future. Everyone dreams of home ownership. Whether its a $100,000 townhouse or a 1.5 million dollar lakefront manor the dream is usually to own it not to rent it.

So while some people will continue to dream, while some people continue to put off DO SOMETHING.

Start the process. Find out from your friendly local mortgage broker how you can make this happen this year. If you do not know anyone I can help. I know the best mortgage brokers in Central Alberta. They will point you in the right direction.

So if you do not have a job, need to put a roof over your family's head, think interest rates are still going down or are still happy making other people mortgage payments then please DO NOT BUY A HOME.

If you are working, want to have a HOME and understand right NOW interest rates are low but creeping up then it might be time to start building for your future. Step up. Start the process.

Talking to me does not mean you are buying a home today. It means you are starting to plan for your future and your family's future.
